TCS in Mihan Nagpur 2015 Jobs
The construction work of two out of four towers of IT giant Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) has been completed. Sources informed that the company will start functioning within two months now. The four towers are part of the first phase of construction.
The two towers have been erected in area sprawling across 11 lakh square feet.
The company has invested around Rs 300 crore in the first phase. The first phase buildings will house BPOs and call centres. All the ground work for the same has been done. The call center is said to provide jobs to over 1400 people. Interviews for the same have also been conducted already. During the later part of the first phase, another 4000 people will get employment, while 8500 more will get jobs in the second phase.
The company has put more emphasis upon recruiting people from technical background. In the second phase the company will be developing and exporting software. TCS has bought 54 acres of land in Mihan. The bhumipujan of the land was done at the hands of the then Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan in December 2011.
It is being said that other software and IT giants will also come to Nagpur once TCS gets operational. This will create more job opportunities for the youth in Nagpur.
