Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) will actively help out in the live webcast of the process. RGUKT 2014 Examination Process Results details, Examination Timetable, Syllabus & Other Details about Examinations of RGUKT are given below.
The university has received a request from officials to spare students for the proposed live polling webcast. “We have agreed as our students will gain an insight into the democratic process and learn to appreciate it, apart from ensuring that the poll process is fair and smooth,” said R.V. Raja Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of RGUKT, which has campuses in Idupulapaya, Basara and Nuziveed.
The students engaged in the work will be posted in polling booths where they will capture the poll process through their cameras, compress the video and upload it for live webcast. RGUKT’s advantage is that every student owns a laptop. Its students are well-versed with technology as all of them learn four to five computer courses unlike other engineering students. “Our second and third year engineering students will be sent for the process. We can’t send first year students as they are minors,” the V-C said. “Our strength is around 25,000 as of now and no single institution can boast of such numbers.”
RGUKT offers six-year integrated engineering courses for SSC students in its three campuses where the first two years are treated as Intermediate course. “A good sign,” Prof. Kumar says, “is the keen interest shown by girl students.”
“They are pretty excited and it reflects the confidence of these predominantly in the rural area and first generation learners. The students will also get paid. The only request the University made was a written assurance on the safety of students.”
In fact, their services were used in the by-polls two years ago and their role came in for appreciation from senior officials too, Prof. Kumar said.
