PDKV 1 Cr. Expenses Agriculture College

IN A major relief to the College of Agriculture, Nagpur. Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV). Akola, has resolved to bear the expenditure cost on water, electricity and maintenance of buildings to the tune of Rs one crore every year. In a special meeting held at Akola recently. Dr Raviprakash Dani, Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of PDKV. gave the approval to the proposal of the college. It may be mentioned here that the college was mooting the proposal for the last 25 years before the university.

The college has to manage the staggering amount out of its grants plus bear property tax of about Rs 9 lakh. This huge expenditure had put a big financial burden on the college management. The expenditure included electricity, water, hostel, college, guest house, V-C camp office, residences etc.. according to reliable sources.

PDKV made one time investment at Akola for solving water problem by digging  wells.
