RTMNU Nagpur University Scholarships For Needy Students 2014

RASHTRASANT Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has distributed the scholarships to 274 students to the tune of Rs 14 lakh. Most of the students are from affiliated colleges and the university did not discriminate. Those who received the scholarships belonged lo families with low income, and who never availed any scholarships.

To distribute the scholarship, the university has prepared certain guidelines.

According to it. the income of the students' guardian should be below Rs One lakh, the students should be meritorious and he/she should not have taken any other scholarship. The scholarship of Rs 10.000 for the students of professional courses and Rs 5.000 for non-professional courses was distributed. Earlier, the income limit was Rs 40.000, which according to the university was too small. The scholarship was given from the students' welfare fund where the fund Of Rs 75 lakh was lying unspent. This practise began two years ago.
