HSC 2014 Exam Maharashtra Starts, Caught Copy during Marathi Paper

THE most important destination in the life of a student, the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) began on Thursday with the first paper of Marathi (First Language). Even if it is a mother tongue of most of the students. 13 students were caught in the act of copying in the Maradii paper. Apart from this, the examination went on smoothly in Nagpur district and division .
The Marathi paper began at 11 am. At most of the centres, students reached half an hour before the commencing of the examination. This year, a total 444 centres are there for the examination. The 64 centres have been added this year. A total of 1.64.522 students have enrolled themselves. The students of 1.176 schools from the six districts Bhandara. Gondia. Chandrapur. Wardha. Gadchiroli and Nagpur are appearing for the examinations.
The impact of copy-free campaign is seen in Bhandara and Gondia which arc the most prone districts for the act of copying. Still both districts have registered 8 acts of copying out of 11.
"We took utmost care to avoid the untoward incident. To curb the act of copying, we have made certain arrangements. The measures have been taken so that the examination should be conducted smoothly," pointed Anil Pardhi, Secretary. Nagpur Divisional Board.
