Senate Meeting For RTMNU 2013 Exam Postpone 


Nagpur University 2013 Exam Postpone SENATE Meeting.



IN THE adjourned meeting of Senate held on March 25. the members hurled volleys of questions on the bosses of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. To add fuel to the fire. Joint Director. Higher Education D B Patil threw a bomb when he informed the house that RTMNU had in Mantralaya already made it clear that it would not postpone examinations making RTMNU bosses dumbfounded. The real test of the same issue on cards when the regular meeting of Senate will begin on Saturday.
It seems that Senate meeting will be stormy. Most of the Senate members expressed anguish over the way the issue being by the RTMNU. Mahendra Nimbarte demanded that RTMNU should declare the schedule of the examinations that have been postponed.

He alleged whether RTMNU bosses are running the administration under pressure or they are unable to take proper decision.
Many Senate members alleged that university seemed to be working for the demands of teachers. They argued that when university was prepared with the alternate mechanism then why it has postponed the examinations? According to them the university's decision was confusing.

On March 21. this same university after holdingcnKTgcni meeting of Board of Examinations (BoE) declared that 48 examinations would be postponed.
In the GR dated March 20.2013. Government had made it clear thai using the powers under section 8 (4) of Maharashtra Universities Act 1994. it is directing universities to hold the examinations  It says, "In case of failure of the University to exercise powers or perform duties specified or where the university has not exercised such powers or performed such duties adequately, or where there has been a failure to comply with any order issued by State Government, it would issue a directive to the university for proper exercise of such powers or performance of such duties or comply with the order, and it shall be the duty of the university to comply with such direction. It further says that in case the university fails to comply with the directives, the State Government shall call upon the university to give reasons. If State Government is not satisfied with the explanation, it may refer the matter to the Chancellor for necessary action."
