KVS Recruitment 2013 Written Exam Syllabus, Pattern


Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), henceforth mentioned as KVS, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India invites Online applications from Indian Citizens for recruitment to the Teaching and Miscellaneous Teaching posts for the years 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Candidates are required to apply online through this website OR http://jobapply.in/kvs/ No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted. The schedule of ONLINE registration.


Fees Details KVS Recruitment 2013 : 
♦    Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ? 750/- (Rs. Seven Hundred and Fifty only). The fee once paid will not be refunded on any account nor would this fee be held in
reseive for future exam/selection.
♦     In case of payment through Bank Challan; Indian Bank will charge ? 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) as "sen/ice charge" in addition to the fees.
♦     In case of payment through Credit/Debit Card (Master or Visa approved); Indian Bank will charge ? 30/-(Rupees Thirty only) as "service charge" in addition to the fees.

Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) PGT , TGT, PRT & Primary Teacher Posts
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), New Delhi invites online applications for the recruitment of 4043 PGT , TGT & Miscellaneous Teaching Posts. I.Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

For Post Graduate Teachers post the Exam will be consists of 2 parts that is Part I and Part II.

Part Iof the question paper will consists of 40 multiple choice questions in English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each (total 40 marks).

Part IIof the question paper will consist of 160 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each comprising Current Affairs (20), Reasoning & Numerical Ability (20), Teaching Methodology (20) & the subject concerned (100) questions.
Duration of examination: 3 hours
Total: 200 marks

The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects & 13 marks in aggregate in English & Hindi. The final merit will be based on the candidates performance in written test (Part II) & Interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) & Interview will be 70:30.

II. TGT (P&HE, WE, AE) and Librarian

For TGT (P&HE, WE, AE) and Librarian posts the Exam will be consists of Part I and Part II.

Part I will consist of 40 multiple objective type questions in the subjects English and Hindi each question carrying 1 mark.

Part II will consist of 160 multiple objective type questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of Current Affairs (30), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (30) & concerned subject (100) questions.
Duration of examination: 3 hours
Total: 200 marks

The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English & Hindi subjects. The final merit list will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test Part II) & interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) & interview will be 70:30.

III. Trained Graduate Teachers & Primary Teachers

For TGT & Primary Teachers posts the Exam will be consists of Part I and Part II.

Part I of the question paper will consist of 30 multiple choice objective questions in English (15) and Hindi (15) questions carrying 1 mark each.

Part II will consist of 120 multiple choice objective questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of Current Affairs (40), Reasoning Ability (40) & Teaching Methodology (40).
Duration of examination: 2½ hours
Total: 150 marks

Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in part I securing 4 marks each in English & Hindi subjects & 10 marks in aggregate. The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test and interview and the weightage will be 70:30.

The KVS has decided that only CTET Paper-I (for classes I to V) & Paper-II (for classes VI to VIII) pass candidates should be allowed to apply as per the recruitment rules.

IV.PRT (Music)

For PRT (Music) post the Exam will be consists of Part I and Part II.

Part I will consist of 30 multiple choice questions in the subjects English (15) and Hindi (15) carrying 1 mark each.

Part IIwill consist of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each in Current Affairs (30), Reasoning Ability (30) & Subject Related Questions (Musicology) (60) questions.
Duration of examination: 2½ hours
Total: 150 marks

Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in part I securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate. For preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme shall be Written Test 50%, Performance Test 30% & Interview 20%.
