- 1. Minimum Eligibility
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering (courses in: Structures, Geotechnical and Water-Resources Engineering)
- Electrical Engineering (courses in: Power & control engineering, Signal processing, Photonics, Microelectronics)
- Material Science and Engineering (courses in: Nanomaterials, Materials processing, Biomaterials)
- Mechanical Engineering (courses in: Thermo-fluids engineering, Dynamics and control)
1. Atleast 55% marks in B.E. /B.Tech or equivalent in appropriate branches (50% marks for SC /ST)
2. Candidates who are GATE qualified are eligible to apply for M.Tech. GATE is not required for application to MTech on part-time basis or DIIT programme.
Above mentioned eligibility criteria is only a minimum requirement and individual disciplines and the institute may use higher cut-offs to shortlist the candidates for interview/selection rounds.

Eligibility for OmDayal Engineering College at Howrah is that the candidates should have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination. The Aggregate marks in (Physics + Chemistry + Maths) for General Students should be 50% minimum and for SC / ST 40% minimum.
