Revenue Department Nagpur 889 Posts Vacant 

EVERY year the issue comes up for discussion, employees' organisations stage protests and submit memorandums to minister concerned- However, the vacant posts in Revenue Department in Nagpur Division are not filled up completely despite assurances given by the Government several times.

At present, of a total 6.224 sanctioned posts. 889 are lying vacant in Nagpur Division that comprises six districts namely Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli. These vacancies are in positions ranging from Additional Collector to peon. Interestingly, the employees' organisations liad resorted to strike in the month of August to press for 26 demands including the one related to filling up of vacant posts. Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat had accepted the demands 'in-principle'. However, four months have passed by and no order for appointments to these vacant posts has been issued till date.
