Private Institutes are called Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTls).

Other states exclude home state. In CFTIs, IIITs and SFTls the seats will allocated on basis of HS/OS/A11 India Quota as applicable.

However, if he has passed 12th standard from Kerala, his Home State will be Kerala.
