RBISE -Students protest against faulty HSSC results

A large number of angry students, who appeared in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part II Annual Examinations held under the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE), held a protest here on Tuesday against their faulty results.

Students, holding batons, blocked traffic on Benazir Bhutto Road and shouted slogans against the board administration. They demanded of the RBISE administration to follow in the footsteps of other education boards of the province by cancelling faulty results.

Students said that the online system was introduced to streamline the board’s functioning, but unfortunately it has created more problems for them. “We don’t need such type of system, which gives faulty results,” they added.

They appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take action against the officials responsible for maintaining the online system. “It is because of their negligence that we are facing such difficulties. The board should recheck all papers of HSSC Part-2 and compile results as soon as possible,” they urged.

RBISE Chairman Dr. Muhammad Qasim reached the spot and assured the students that the board has issued orders for rechecking of papers and within 45 days they will announce complete results without any fault. After the assurance from the RBISE chairman, angry students dispersed peacefully.
