Assam Agricultural University is going to fill up the following vacancies:

1. Name of the post : Programme Co-ordinator  3  (Three)

      Pay scale : Rs.15,600/- 39,100/- + G.P.Rs  8000/-PM
            Discipline- Any discipline of Agricultural /Animal Science
Essential Qualifications :

1. 55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scales at the Master’s degree level from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.

ii)  5 years of service experience in the rank of Assistant Professor in teaching/           research/extension excluding periods spent for obtaining Ph.D. degree.
iii)  Ph.D. degree in any field of the concerned discipline.
iv) Has made some mark in areas of scholarships as evidenced by quality of publications in relevant discipline, contribution to educational /extension innovation, design of new courses and curricula etc. Quality of publications shall be judged as per list published by National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi.
Note : Minimum marks under (i)  above is relaxable in case of regularly appointed in service candidates of AAU.

2. Neme of the post :  Subject Matter Specialists : 24 (twenty four)

      (Pay Scale ) : Rs15600-39,100+GP Rs. 6000/-PM 
Discipline :
Agronomy/Horticulture/Soil Science/Plant Protection /Extn. Education/Agril. Economics/ Animal Science/ Home Science/ Fishery Science.
  
Essential Qualification :
i) Bachelors degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science & A.H./Home Science/Fisheries Science  as the case may be.
ii)  55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 point scale or 7.00 in 10.00 point scale at the Master’s Degree level from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET)
Note 1 : Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations,2009 and the candidate has atleast two full length publications having a NAAS  rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application.
ii) Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not quality for NET exemption.
3) Name of the post :   Farm Manager –1(One )  
   Pay scale : Rs. 8000-35,000+ GP Rs 4,900/- p.m.
Essential qualification :-

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.
2. Desirable : Master’s degree in Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Agril Economics

4 .  Name of the post  : Programme Assistant :-   3 (three)      
      Pay scale : Rs. 8000- 35,000+ GP Rs. 4,900/- p.m.
   
      Essential qualification:   Bachelor degree in  Agricultural Science /Home Science / Animal Science  /Fisheries Science/ Agricultural Engg.
5.   Name of the post  :   Programme Assistant :-(Computer Science)- 2 (Two )
      Pay scale : Rs. 8000- 35,000+ GP Rs. 4,900/- p.m.
     
 Essential qualification :   B.Sc. (Computer Application) or  BCA or  PGDCA from accredited   organization.
5 .Name of the post  :  Office Supdt. Cum. Accountant  :  - 4 (four ) 
    Pay scale Rs. 8000-35,000+GP Rs 4,900 PM
Essential qualification  :
Master in Business Management/ Post graduate Diploma in Business Management/ M.A/ M.Com./C.A
                              Or
B.Com/ B.A/ Bachelor in Business Management with minimum five years of experience of working as Junior Accountant or Senior Clerk dealing with financial accounts matter.
General Instruction  :

1. Age limit  for the posts other than Programme co-ordinator : 38 years (maximum) as on 01.01.2012. The age is relaxable by the number of full years of service rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/ SAUs and other Govt. Institutions up to a maximum of 5(five) years.
2. For the post of Programme Co-ordiinator , there  shall be no age limit

3.  Submission of application forms:

1. Application form in prescribed format is to be submitted to the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat on or before   August 18, 2012.
2. BANK DRAFT of Rs.150/- in case of general candidates and Rs.75/- in case of SC/ST candidates must accompany with the application forms.
3. Reservation shall be as per Government of Assam Rules.
4. Inservice candidates must send their application through proper channel.
5. Applications received late and found incomplete will not be considered.

A self addressed stamped (worth Rs.6/-) envelope size 23 cm x 10 cm should be sent along with the application form.
