Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) November 2012 
The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting  the  Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 18.11.2012. Candidates can apply On-line for CTET-NOV 2012 on CBSE/CTET website.
 
IMPORTANT DATES:
Submission of On-line application: 01.08.2012 to 31.08.2012
Last date for receipt of Confirmation Page in CBSE, CTET Unit: 07.09.2012

Important Notes:
•     Confirmation Page received after last date of submission i.e. 07.09.2012 will not be accepted irrespective of the date of their dispatch. CBSE will not be responsible for any Postal delays LOSS.
•     Candidates can only apply On-line for CTET-NOV 2012.
•     Further detailed information is available in Information Bulletin on our websites

•     Candidates must follow instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin on the websites. The candidature of Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily rejected.
 
 
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) November 2012 Exam Notification has been published just today. As per the notification, online submission of form starts on 1st August, 2012 and the last date to apply for CTET Nov 2012 is 31st August, 2012. The exam would be held on 18th November, 2012. This is the 3rd time CTET is being organized by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) - the first ever was held on 26th June, 2011 and the second CTET exam was held on 29th January, 2012. If you want to teach students from Class-I to Class-VIII in central schools (KVS, Navodaya etc.), this is your chance to join the teaching fraternity.

What is CTET?

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a benchmark test, being organized by CBSE at national level so as to find the right teachers for teaching from Class-I to Class-Vm. It is being held in 82 cities/towns covering all Indian states as well as in two centres abroad (Dubai and Riyadh). You can click here to download the list of citv/town where CTET 2012 would be held.
CTET has been started as an offshoot of Right To Education (RTE) Act, 2009 for implementation of which a huge number of teachers would be required. Passing the CTET would enable you to get a job in Central schools (Kendriya Vidyalaya as well as Navodaya Vidyalaya) at present. But in the future state govt, as well as private schools are expected to uses CTET for selecting teachers.
So if you are a B.Sc/B.A/B.Com graduate and would like to take up a teaching job at School level, CTET is for you. CTET is valid for 7 years.

CTET Eligibility
- Minimum Qualification for teaching Classes I-V:
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in
final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in
final year of 2-year Diploma in   Elementary Education  (by whatever name known), in
accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in
final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in
final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
Graduation and  passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in  Elementary
Education (by whatever name known).
Note: Relaxation  of 5% in  minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior Secondary level is
admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates.
