Pre-professional courses in 813 schools in State
Pre-professional courses are run in 813 schools coming under jurisdiction of higher and technical education department in Maharashtra. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, there is proposal to start professional courses in 1451 schools coming under school education department.
This information was given by school education minister Vinod Tawde during question hour in the Legislative Council on Tuesday through written reply.
Dr Sudhir Tambe, Vikram Kale, Sanjay Dutt and Ashok alias Bhai Jagtap had raised this question in this regard. They had raised the question about possibilities of making available professional education to the students from Standard VIII.
1,759 candidates appointed
As per high court's order about combined entrance test conducted by the education department in 2010, 1759 candidates out of 3139 eligible candidates have been appointed. Remaining candidates are being appointed as per availability of posts. This information was given by school education minister Vinod Tawde in written reply during question hour in legislative council on Tuesday.
