DTEd Admission Process 2014 Details
The colleges offering courses of diploma in teachers education (DTE)
which are facing drought of students since four years, will have to face
challenge this time also. The colleges are trying to get as much as
students admitted. However, if lesser number of students are admitted
this year, these colleges will land in trouble.
There are 10,000
seats of DTE course in Nagpur division. Nagpur accounts for 4,250 seats.
Very few students had applied for courses during admission process in
2013-14. The blame of low response was put on late admission process
started by Maharashtra State Education Training and Research Council.
This
time, the admission process was started on June 2 so that students
don't turn to other courses. Earlier, the application forms were
available in district education institutes but now they are available in
all DTE colleges.
Despite of this, institute directors are facing
problem of admissions. There is no surety of employment after completion
of course. So, students are giving preference to other courses instead
of doing DTE course after spending thousands of rupees.
However, the institute owners are hoping that there would be plenty of students due to record break result of HSSC.
