U.P. Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (UPRVUNL) is a progressive & fast expanding State Thermal Power Generation undertaking having an installed capacity of 4933 MW for thermal generation. UPRVUNL is also in joint venture with NTPC & Neyveli lignite Corporation  in the field of thermal generation.
UPRVUNL require bright young professionals in the field of Engineering for operation & maintenance of their power stations, constructing new projects. Applications for these openings may be submitted "ON LINE" by eligible Indian Nationals to the following Executive and Non-Executive positions :

AE(Trainees) (E&M) & JE(Trainees)(E&M) may have to work in shift duties as per
requirement, roster schedules and shift policy as applicable from time to time.

Examination Centre & Selection Process:-
Selection Processes for Executive will be based on written Test (Computer Based Test) CBT, Group Discussion and Interview and for Non Executive written test (Computer Based Test) CBT and Interview. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi, Greater Noida & Dehradun Cities. U.P. Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd., however, have the right to cancel any of the Examination city/Center and/or add some another Cities/Centers depending upon the requirement, administrative feasibility, or any force-majeure conditions etc.. The test shall be of objective type total 200 marks and shall comprise of total 200 questions, out of which 150 questions shall be from the Degree/Diploma level Engineering branch syllabus for the post applied, 20 questions of General Knowledge/Awareness, 20 questions of Reasoning and 10 questions of General Hindi. Each correct answer shall carry one mark each and each wrong answer shall carry negative mark of 0.25. Candidates of General/OBC who obtain less than 33% marks in CBT and SC/ST candidates who obtained less than 28% marks in the CBT will not be eligible to be considered for selection. Group Discussion for Executive carrying 10 marks and Interview carrying 25 marks, for Non-Executive Interview carrying 35 marks will be conducted at Lucknow only. Maximum numbers of candidates short listed for Group Discussion & Interview for Executive and Non-Executive for interview will be equal to 3 times the number of vacancies in each category. Qualifying candidates with same marks in CBT at bottom will be counted as one for shortlisting purpose only. Appearing in the CBT, Group Discussion and interview for Executive and CBT & Interview for Non-The number of above vacancies may change as per requirement.

Finally, the merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the combined marks obtained in the CBT, Group Discussion and interview for Executive and CBT and Interview for Non-Executive, branch wise, category wise.

"CANDIDATE MUST CARRY (i) ADMIT CARD, (ii) PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH (SAME AS IN THE APPLICATION FORM), (Mi) A VALID PHOTO IDENTITY CARD SUCH AS PASSPORT, DRIVING LICENSE, VOTER ID, AADHAR CARD, PAN CARD OR ANY OTHER VALID PHOTO IDENTITY PROOF (same as mentioned in the application form) WHILE REPORTING FOR CBT, Group Discussion and INTERVIEW.
*  CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN THEIR UNIQUE E-MAIL ID AND MOBILE NUMBER THROUGHOUT THE SELECTION PROCESS.
*  IF AT ANY STAGE, IT IS FOUND THAT ANY INFORMATION FURNISHED IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION IS FALSE/INCORRECT OR THE CANDIDATE DOES NOT SATISFY THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST APPLIED, THE CANDIDATURE WILL BE TREATED AS CANCELLED.
*  Candidates having undergone apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act 1961, will be given age relaxation and preference as per order of Hon'ble Supreme Court, in case, all other requisite parameters being the same.

(A)  Executive Positions [For the post of Assistant EnqineerfTrainee)]:-(i) Rs. 1000/- (For General & OBC candidates)
(ii) Rs. 700/- ( For SC/ ST Candidates)
(B) Non-Executive Positions fFor the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee):-(i) Rs. 700/- (For General & OBC candidates)
(ii) Rs. 500/- ( For SC/ ST Candidates)
(C)  No fee for physically handicapped candidates.

Candidates are advised to Login the website and select ''Career' and follow the instructions carefully given therein step by step, for completing and submission of Application Form. Incomplete application in any respect (Mandatory information/upload of necessary documents) would not be submitted online. All the candidate, who. have completed and submitted the form, shall be provisionally allowed to appear in CBT on basis of their particulars provided in the Application form Part-A (Which does not necessarily mean eligibility). Complete form with uploaded particulars will be scrutinized subsequently. If at any stage, it is found that the information furnished in the online application form is false/fake/ misinterpreted/incorrect or does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post applied, their candidature are liable to be cancelled, even after appearing in the Examination/interview/appointment in addition to any other actions as may be deemed fit by UPRVUSA.
