THE ringed Planet Saturn which has most fascinating view in entire solar system will be appearing opposite to the Sun on Sunday. April 28, 2013. The Saturn. Earth and Sun will line up On this day during the event called as 'opposition of the Sun and the Saturn' .
In this event, the entire part of the Saturn which is seen from the Earth will he bright. This will be a kind of full moon day of the Saturn.
As the Saturn will be shining most brightly in sky on this day and as the opposition also brings Saturn closest to Earth, it will be a good opportunity for astronomy researchers to observe it and capture its pictures.
Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun in our solar system. Saturn has a prominent ring system composed mostly of ice particles with a smaller amount of rocky debris and dust. Saturn i> termed as a giant gas planet because the exterior is predominantly composed of gas and it lacks a definite surface, although it may have a solid core.
The average distance between Saturn and the Sun is 1.4 billion kilometers  Ii takes Saturn 29.46 years to finish one revolution around the Sun. Scientists have discovered 61 moons of Saturn out of which Titan, the largest moon can be seen with the ordinary telescope too.
Presently, planet Saturn is in the Libra sign and appears on the east horizon as soon as the Sun sets in west. As it is in the opposite direction to the Sun. it will be in the sky through out night.
